Introducing 6 Month Smiles at Northstar Dental Clinic

When You Want a Perfect Smile

Six Month Smiles is the quick cosmetic solution to crooked, twisted and gaped teeth.  The Six Months Smiles system employs the latest technology and techniques in dentistry to move your teeth quickly and safely.  The key components of the treatment are the use of special nickel titanium wires and a primary focus of moving the teeth that show when you smile.

Six Month Smiles dentists do not use metal braces.  Instead they use tooth-colored braces that are barely visible and wires that are teeth colored.  The low force process moves teeth with little or no loss of tooth structure, allowing for shorter treatment times that are safe and relatively comfortable, too.  Six Month Smiles utilizes standard orthodontic mechanics, but with and emphasis on the cosmetic appearance of your teeth rather than the position of your bite.

What Makes Six Month Smiles so Revolutionary?

*  Treatment typically takes only six months.
*  Clear or tooth-colored brackets and very thin wires make Six Month Smiles braces barely visible while you are wearing them.
*  The low forces process and short overall treatment time results in increased safety and comfort for patients, PLUS saved time and money.
*  Six Month Smiles is often less expensive than traditional braces and veneers.

Benefits of Intraoral Cameras

Digital technology has dramatically changed the field of photography, and the use of intraoral digital cameras has changed the way dentists evaluate and diagnose dental problems.

An intraoral digital camera is a pen-sized wand with a tiny camera embedded in the tip.  Once inserted into the patient's mouth, the camera can video the interior and then transmit the data to a computer where enlarged, full images can be viewed by both the dentist and the patient. The results are instantly available for the patient and the dentist to discuss.  The dentist receives needed information and the patient develops a better understanding of the current state of his or her dental health.

Intraoral digital cameras provide a new revolutionary method for monitoring our patients' oral health and improving the quality of the dental care.  At Northstar Dental Clinic we now offer this advance technology to our patients.  Our professional dental team uses intraoral cameras to provide the patients with a detailed imaging of their teeth and gums.  The use of intraoral cameras enables both the hygienists and the dentists to show our patients exactly what the camera sees via chair-side monitors.
